Wainwright Challenge: June 18th 5 Wainwrights

  • Ascent: 3,400ft

** Each Small Group will run with a minimum of 3 participants. If the minimum has not been met 24 hours before the hike, we will reach out and refund, reschedule or make alternate arrangements.

What to expect

We'll take on a full day around Blencathra, linking five Wainwrights with a mix of open fell, ridges and some steeper climbs. The route offers brilliant views across the northern Lake District, with Blencathra itself providing a real highlight along the way.

Expect a good amount of ascent and descent, so a reasonable level of fitness is needed. We'll keep a steady pace, with plenty of time for breaks, photos and enjoying the scenery as we tick off five Wainwrights.

Absolutely! 90% of our participants are solo hikers and adventurers. We pride ourselves on getting together like minded folk to create laughs, memories, and friendships! So there's no need to feel worried about your first experience, or indeed trying a new type of outdoor activity, with us.

For each hike we calculate a suitable time based on the distance and terrain. We do our very best to accommodate the speed of the group we are leading, whilst providing the encouragement needed to complete the challenge.
