** Each Small Group will run with a minimum of 3 participants. If the minimum has not been met 24 hours before the hike, we will reach out and refund, reschedule or make alternate arrangements.

What to expect

On this guided adventure we start at Buttermere for a lake swim and briefing, then hike up onto the fells towards Haystacks, following rocky mountain paths with breaks at viewpoints.

We visit Warnscale Bothy for a short rest stop before continuing to Innominate Tarn for a wild swim in a high mountain tarn. From there we explore Blackbeck Tarn for another cold-water dip before summiting Haystacks and returning down into the Buttermere valley.

Absolutely! 90% of our participants are solo hikers and adventurers. We pride ourselves on getting together like minded folk to create laughs, memories, and friendships! So there's no need to feel worried about your first experience, or indeed trying a new type of outdoor activity, with us.

For each hike we calculate a suitable time based on the distance and terrain. We do our very best to accommodate the speed of the group we are leading, whilst providing the encouragement needed to complete the challenge.
