What to expect

The High Street 9-Peak Challenge is a full-day guided hike along the historic Roman road, taking in nine summits across the Lake District fells. Expect a long, steady day of climbing and descending, with open ridges and varied terrain, offering expansive views over the surrounding valleys and mountains.

The route is challenging but fully walkable, staying on clear paths and well-trodden fell. Participants should be prepared for a sustained day of hiking, with opportunities to enjoy the scenery and take breaks, while being supported and paced by experienced guides throughout the route.

Absolutely! 90% of our participants are solo hikers and adventurers. We pride ourselves on getting together like minded folk to create laughs, memories, and friendships! So there's no need to feel worried about your first experience, or indeed trying a new type of outdoor activity, with us.

For each hike we calculate a suitable time based on the distance and terrain. We do our very best to accommodate the speed of the group we are leading, whilst providing the encouragement needed to complete the challenge.
