Free Guided Conservation Hike - Grasmere

** Each Small Group will run with a minimum of 3 participants. If the minimum has not been met 24 hours before the hike, we will reach out and refund, reschedule or make alternate arrangements.

What to expect

Expect a relaxed, low level walk linking Rydal Water and Grasmere, moving at an easy pace with regular stops to take in the scenery and chat along the way. This is a social, accessible walk focused on enjoying the landscape rather than covering distance or elevation.

Along the route, we'll explore topics such as climate change, flooding, conservation, SSSI's, and responsible access, with optional litter picking where safe to do so. The aim is to build a deeper understanding of the landscape and how we can all help look after it.

Absolutely! 90% of our participants are solo hikers and adventurers. We pride ourselves on getting together like minded folk to create laughs, memories, and friendships! So there's no need to feel worried about your first experience, or indeed trying a new type of outdoor activity, with us.

For each hike we calculate a suitable time based on the distance and terrain. We do our very best to accommodate the speed of the group we are leading, whilst providing the encouragement needed to complete the challenge.
