** Each Small Group will run with a minimum of 3 participants. If the minimum has not been met 24 hours before the hike, we will reach out and refund, reschedule or make alternate arrangements.

What to expect

We'll take on the classic Fairfield Horseshoe, following a spectacular route through some of the Lake District's best-known fells. Expect a steady day in the hills, with plenty of ascent, open ridges and fantastic views across Ambleside, Windermere and the surrounding valleys.

It's a proper mountain day, so you'll need a reasonable level of fitness and be comfortable walking for several hours. We'll keep a steady pace, with plenty of time for breaks, photos and enjoying the scenery along the way.

Absolutely! 90% of our participants are solo hikers and adventurers. We pride ourselves on getting together like minded folk to create laughs, memories, and friendships! So there's no need to feel worried about your first experience, or indeed trying a new type of outdoor activity, with us.

For each hike we calculate a suitable time based on the distance and terrain. We do our very best to accommodate the speed of the group we are leading, whilst providing the encouragement needed to complete the challenge.
