FAQ's

BAD WEATHER?
In nearly all instances of bad weather, we will still continue the hike if there is poor visibility, heavy rain and wind. In cases where we have severe winds or thunderstorms forecasted, then I will postpone the route and arrange for an alternative date.

WHAT TO EXPECT?
This is a fairly tough long distance event that has a mix of rocky terrain, grassy paths and steep ascents/descents.You should be comfortable walking up to 10 miles and have a reasonably good fitness level. If you have any medical conditions, please let me know beforehand.

CAN I ATTEND ON MY OWN?
Absolutely! 90% of our participants are solo hikers and adventurers. We pride ourselves on getting together like minded folk to create laughs, memories, and friendships! So there's no need to feel worried about your first experience, or indeed trying a new type of outdoor activity, with us.

IS THERE A TIME LIMIT?
We generally allow up to 10 hours to complete the walk, which is adequate for the majority of participants. We do our very best to accommodate the speed of the group we are leading, whilst providing the encouragement needed to complete the challenge. Most groups complete this walk in 8-9 hours.

ARE THERE TOILETS?
There are toilets at the meeting point in Keswick, however we can't guarantee availability of opening times.
