** Each Small Group will run with a minimum of 3 participants. If the minimum has not been met 24 hours before the hike, we will reach out and refund, reschedule or make alternate arrangements.

What to expect

On this dark sky hike, we'll follow familiar Peak District trails as day fades into night, walking at a steady pace with regular stops to take in the surroundings. The route sticks to clear, easy-to-follow paths not far from local villages, with gentle hills and wide views — no need for advanced hiking experience.

If the sky is clear, we'll have a great chance to spot constellations, planets, and maybe even the Milky Way. But even if it's cloudy, the experience is still worth it — walking under the cover of darkness brings a totally different feel to the landscape, with the sounds, smells, and stillness of the night offering something you don't get in daylight.

Absolutely! 90% of our participants are solo hikers and adventurers. We pride ourselves on getting together like minded folk to create laughs, memories, and friendships! So there's no need to feel worried about your first experience, or indeed trying a new type of outdoor activity, with us.

For each hike we calculate a suitable time based on the distance and terrain. We do our very best to accommodate the speed of the group we are leading, whilst providing the encouragement needed to complete the challenge.
