Buttermere is a beautiful and popular area in the Lake District. The trail takes you through grassy slopes and rocky areas, offering stunning views of nearby fells and lakes like Buttermere and Crummock Water. It's a special place for many hikers because the famous writer Alfred Wainwright loved it so much that he chose to have his ashes scattered there. Whether you're looking for a challenging adventure or a peaceful escape in nature, Buttermere is a fantastic area to explore.

Along the route we will also be stopping off at two Bothys - Warnascale Bothy & Dubs Hut.
